That’s a good way to describe the famous Theodore Roosevelt.  ­­­­­­­­Seemingly born for greatness, “Teddy” started his life in New York but traveled the world seeking adventure.  He lived life as if determined to see and achieve more than a dozen other men.  Roosevelt was a Harvard graduate, a boxer, a cowboy, a deputy sheriff, a big-game hunter, a soldier, a Chief of Police, an explorer, a state governor and finally President of the United States.

Teddy started life as a sickly child but chose to live “the strenuous life” and became a strong, courageous man.  Fiercely patriotic, he believed in the ideals of America and worked hard all his life to make his native country a better one.  Today, his face is memorialized in stone along with those of Washington, Lincoln, and Jefferson on Mount Rushmore.
